    I endorse this statement.

Not every ATG beats a prime ATG. Doesn't mean that they aren't. Floyd never beat one in their prime, doesn't mean he isn't one himself.

It just means a lot to resume if he DOES beat one.

The thing is that the majority of the fools on here don't have a clue on the greats of the lower weights. Gomez is one of the baddest warriors I've ever had the pleasure of seeing fight in the ring.

When you think about it, a prime ATG beating a prime ATG typically involves a size advantage. When there isn't a size advantage being factored in (or especially if the advantage was with the loser) it either comes down to a stylistic advantage or the winner being of an even higher caliber than what qualifies a fighter as an ATG.

I think when you consider it, Duran's victory over Leonard was one of the most impressive feats in boxing history due to the size advantage he was giving up, the fact that it was prime Leonard, as well as Leonard's high esteem in the all time rankings. I am having trouble thinking of a more impressive single win.
