  • Comments Thread For: Broner-Allakhverdiev Title Fight Heading To Cincinnati

Adrien Broner won his first title at home. Now he returns in attempt to become a four-division champion.

Details have been finalized for Broner's upcoming super lightweight title fight with former 140 lb. champ Khabib Allakhverdiev to take place October 3 at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The bout will headline a Showtime telecast that will include undefeated Jose Pedraza in the first defense of his super featherweight title versus veteran Edner Cherry.

“I’m excited to be back in Cincinnati taking on a tough world class fighter who is going to bring it,” said Broner. “This fight means the world to me. It’s a huge deal to have the chance to be a four-division world champion at 26 years old.” [Click Here To Read More]

Hmmm. Broner already had all the aces. What is this about? This smells like a Sniper trap.

Good opponent in a place it should be... third fight announced in the place it should be. Maybe Haymon is learning.... let's see if this trend continues

Are you trying to say Broner was showing bravery by stepping up to those challenges cause nobody else would? Let's be real, he fought Maidana cause they thought he'd be easy after seeing what Devon Alexander did and he fought Porter at a catchweight thinking he'd be too drained to put up a fight. Both fights ended up blowing up in his fat face.

The fact this fight is for a title is a joke. Both guys coming off losses and broner has no quality wins at 140 to earn this and he fought above 140 his last fight and missed weight for a fight at 140 the fight before. BS politics by Haymon to give Broner a paper belt.
