Him moving doesn't show lack of heart. The fact that he looked troubled, refused to throw back, AND started backpedaling when he promised a knockout shows a lack of heart. He seemingly gave up on his ability to stop the B- level Bundu who can't punch worth crap. What will happen when Maidana applies higher level pressure with much more heart than Bundu and much more firepower coming his way? Thurman will stop throwing back, get trapped against the ropes (let's not forget Maidana can cut off the ring extremely well) and Thurman will start getting beat up until he gets stopped.

This doesn't even make any sense, Bundu may have made things confusing with his constant switching, may have made Thurman rethink his attack but that didn't stop Thurman from winning every round so there was never an incentive to change his approach and go for the knockout. Thurman himself explained this.

Maidana needs a tune up then I would love to see this fight.

I have to lean on Thurman but it wouldn't be an easy night.

That was a nice body shot and Keith recovered quite well, it was really the only round he lost and then proceeded to make a tough veteran quit. We can say a similar thing about Maidana, he's been hurt by Khan, Ortiz, Broner, Alexander and even Lopez, now imagine Thurman connecting bombs. Nonetheless, it's a great fight if Maidana can get back into looking like an actual fighter. I think Maidana would test him but I just can't see him taking too many big shots from Thurman.

                thurman takes this.

he's the more athletic versatile talent.

that much is obvious. if he can handle chino's power he takes it.
