The problem is NOT the total number of fights Bayless has ref'd for Mayweather. The problem is since Mayweather cried about the ref in Maidana 1 he has now ref'd his next 3 fights. That's a bad look for boxing. These refs should be random. I can't remember any other time or any other fighter that got the same ref back to back let alone back to back to back. By the way when announced for Maidana 2 and Pac fight Bayless was labeled as a Pro Mayweather ref and each fight played out that way. Now he's up a 3rd time? Gives the appearance that Haymon is paying somebody off to get Mayweather his own personal safety net ref.

In all the other major sports they cycle through their refs. You NEVER see the same damn ref crew 3 times in a row for the same team. Especially not after fans are screaming the first 2 times that those refs are biased to that same team. Judges should also not be assigned to the same fighter back to back like this.

Kenny "quick break" Bayless is horrible. Used to have respect for him as a ref but no longer.

while i agree, and bayless shouldnt be the ref, tony weeks has a hard time controlling fights, much harder than bayless.

Did you think people forgot that he reffed many Pacquiao fights?

Question for ya - can you make an argument that the presence of Bayless was a benefit to Pacquiao in many (if any) of those fights versus another ref?

Because if you can't..then who cares how many Pac fights he's reffed?

most likely not, im not gonna sugarcoat anything but i hardly have an issue with bayless. truthfully people ONLY and ONLY didnt like bayless bc of maidana II fight, no one actually complained about bayless before and hes been reffing some of the biggest fights since 2004. it just sucks that one fight with a high profiled boxer and ppl suddenly judge his resume. not to mention hes almost always the preferred judge by the NSAC in this era.
