yea thats a really good point.
starting young so u naturally move up in weight with your bone frame definitely helps.

I don't see how it makes Pac's accomplishments any weaker if that's what you're trying to say. That just means Pac took 8 division titles with no good trainer at the start or Amateur experience. Pac's time from his pro debut to first title fight is the time other's spent in the Amateurs getting top notch experience.

Pac got his first belt at 20
Mayweather got his first belt at 21
Leonard got his first belt at 23
      Oscar got his 21

All four got their belts in the weight class they debuted at. Oscar wasn't even a real 130, he shrunk down to that class. It's just that normally you don't see a Flyweight end his career at Welterweight.

Not even Donaire could make it past Featherweight and he also started at Flyweight. Pac is/was a physical freak.

It doesn't make Pacquiao's accomplishments any weaker, he had a great run and he deserves credit, but people tend to forget the amateur careers of some fighters especially those who were in the olympics, cuz the amateur system in USA in the 80s and 90s was still very strong and it produced a lot of great fighters, the level of competition on the national level was very tough and of course the competition to get to the olympics and in the olympic games is extremely tough, so being a national champion, qualifying for the olympics and recieving a medal there is very impressive as well.

Nobody knows what would've happened if Dela Hoya or Leonard or Mayweather turned pro at 16 and moved up in weight as their bodies naturally grew, they did it in the amaterurs, but if they would've done it in the pros they could've become 7-8 division world champs too.

His balls dropped and unless he chopped them off he wasnt gonna make those weight classes.

Gotta remeber Pacquaio was just a child when he jumped into this world, and starving malnurtion child at that and once he started devolping you just dont have a say where your body weight height etc gonna end up at.

              it kinda evens out though.

no am career. no name. no big promoter. no easy matchmaking.

great am career. you have name before turning pro. got big time promoter to plan out your title run.

example: floyd fought 17 fights, no one significant, in 2 yrs to get title shot.

pac took 24 fights and almost 4 yrs. and only reason he got a title shot was he beat a top 5-10 fighter and won a regional belt.

lol at people downplaying getting pro at a younger age.
it's like fighting men while you still are counting your pubes.
men are mentally and physically more tough than an average teens.

even history won't give you multi division greats that started pro too young.
