i doubt it, may vs canelo was a huge event, the weigh-in and the swift vs matthysse fight made it bigger than what it would've been without that fight, this fight would have to have a mares vs santa cruz in the undercard or one of those fighters that haymon took to PBC like thurman vs porter or something like that, oscar doesn't have any great fighters anymore except for canelo and lemieux, oh yea and bhop lol

Lemieaux is a very good fighter, but i doubt he reaches great status.. his Golden ticket is Canelo and he needs him to win Bad or Golden Boy would soon be a sunken ship.

If Canelo loses it would be like the Titanic hitting the Iceberg..!

If it breaks 1.4 million buys no doubt it would be bigger in the eyes of many. More so then DLH VS TRINIDAD.

with the way theyre marketing it idk, i doubt it tbh, plus 1999 dlh and trinidad had names that shook the boxing world as two undefeated prime WWs in a unification, two rival promoters and each were mirrors of eachother both background and pros to an extent, cotto and canelo are a decade apart with the depth of skill and technical ability being very wide for one fighter.
