People predicting 2 mil PPV are highly delusional. DeLa Hoya vs Hopkins was the last fight not involving Floyd or Manny that went over 1 mil and that was 2004. This isn't a mainstream fight it's a boxing fan fight. No major sport site had it on it's front when it was announced but Mayweather vs Berto was.

Lemieaux is a very good fighter, but i doubt he reaches great status.. his Golden ticket is Canelo and he needs him to win Bad or Golden Boy would soon be a sunken ship.

yea i agree lemieux is good but not elite, their up and coming fighter frankie gomez well.... his only other fighter is 50 years old (tho i love hopkins but he's 50), all i hear is bitterness in de la hoya and hopkins when they give interviews, it consists mostly of complaining and accusing haymon of something or hating on floyd's style, the other 30% of the interview is promoting a fighter/fight card

As a boxing fan, i don't give two ****s if the event is bigger than previous fights. I just want a great fight. There has been a ****load of ppv fights that havent match up to the hype as of late.

yep it's a fight all about names, this is exactly what i've been thinking about this fight since it was rumored to happen, if u watch fight hub there was a question for oscar de la raya (line), "oscar what are cotto's weaknesses?" and he says "miguel cotto was a natural southpaw like me ummm i know my weaknesses so therefore i know cotto's weaknesses"

Who cares. I think it'll be a great fight between two similarly styled fighters. Cotto is just old enough and canelo just good enough to make it a possible classic.
