A bit of both. The power of the punch comes with the timing, the accuracy and the guy taking it. Lee clearly has a great right hook which he times nicely, but also throws with plenty of power and precision.

Pretty much this. Problem is he doesn't have much of an arsenal after that and can look lost at times.
Andy Lee is a very well rounded boxer and deserves the utmost respect. He wasn't gifted his title,he worked hard to earn it.Korobov is a class boxer, props to Andy Lee for conquering the Russian.
Then to defend his title against Quillin, again props to the Irishman.

i thought he shouldve won against quillin had the slip been scored correctly..

Both of course. Timing without power is useless, Paulie isn't stopping anyone.
LMAO paulie... hes fast, but timing not so good? hes fast but everyone sees the punches coming.
i dont know, i think lee is just an average puncher with superior timing.
his punches dont look hard at all to me.
lemieux for example is more of hard hitter with less timing.
andy lee is more timing than hard hitting.
golovkin is more of both..
I voted it's a powerful punch. He has good timing and that helps land the punch clean, on the right spot. Timing can't do anything to make the punch hard. Lots of boxers have great timing like Mayweather for instance. But they aren't big punchers. Lee is a big puncher with his right hook and that power comes mainly from speed. His right hook has great speed and if you blink you won't even see it. It reminds me of Trinidad's left hook the way it comes out of nowhere with such speed and power.
Well his technique is what makes it effective, but he has real power. I see what you are getting at. He isn't a very strong or quick, but his technique, placement, and timing on that right hook makes it lethal.
Lee is pretty much a right hook specialist and he is clearly a right handed fighter who fights from a left handed stance. His right hook is his dangerous punch and he won't likely hurt you with his other punches. This similar to converted southpaw Cotto who knocks out guys with his left hook but his right is mainly a point scorer. Lemieux is just a straight natural bomber and almost ever punch he throws with either hand will hurt if it lands.
