On the contrary he is not....
checked out the Doug Fischer's Monday Mail bag and his list of the best fighters since 1980

    1) Ray Leonard
    2)Pernell Whitaker
    3)JC cHAVEZ
    4)Hopkins
    5)Holyfield
    6)Hearns
    7)Hagler
    8)Manny Pacquaio
    9)ODLH
    10)Mayweather

Not a bad list...I'd swap some guys but he really got me tripping with Floyd being below two guys he defeated and guys he defeated more champions than and more title defenses and title fight wins...Also no Roy Jones or James Toney really got me scratching my head

    • I really can't believe how many posters here seriously think Oscar beat Floyd.

      • From BoxRec.com This was De La Hoya's only fight with Roach. He (Oscar) later said, "Freddie Roach didn***8217;t train me properly. I went into the Mayweather fight as a one-dimensional fighter."
De La Hoya landed 82 of 341 power punches (24 percent), and Mayweather landed 138 of 241 (57 percent). De La Hoya connected on 122 of 587 total punches (21 percent), and Mayweather connected on 207 of 481 (43 percent).

Thats a good point Dunn and your right Floyd waited until 2007 to fight Oscar in true coward fashion, knowing that would be his only chance to win since Oscar was done by that point. I know anyone outside of a fan boy would rank Oscar higher too. Good post.

Floyds shoulder injury? Who was his surgeon .how long was his rehab? Did he use salt water from the sea?

Excuses excuses. Nice how it fits your agenda.
winky called his card. Floyd avoided him after that dispute.
Winky put him in his place. Floyd fought oscar and never wanted 154 again after winky clearly told him to his face he would beat him at 154.

Forrest and williams called out floyd and asked Al for the fight . Al steered them away from floyd. Your probably to young to know any of that. Floyd never retired. He avoided a loaded division. He took 4 million to fight mitchell instead of fighting margarito for double. Yeah easy money may. Not money may. TuE doe .. thurmaputic use exemption
You are wrong because Floyd fought Baldomir for the Lineal title for the same amount Bob offered for Margarito. Bob didn't want to make the De La Hoya fight and that is the real reason Floyd left. Floyd wanted to fight Cotto and Hatton at 140. Both were at the Gatti fight looking nervous. Bob even said himself that Cotto wasn't ready for Hatton and Floyd. Go sit down somewhere.

              • It was a close fight, but Floyd won the fight. Unfortunately for Floyd, Foyd Sr went on record and said he saw ODLH winning by points!!!

                  • Oscar Is Spot On; Floyd Is In The Top 25 Period

This isn't about hating on Floyd, but his list shows you just how illiterate he really is, is lack of knowledge of the legends before he was introduced to Boxing that allowed him out of the hood to one day make more money than anyone; but to say you're the best of all time then rank Pernell Whitaker 2 or 3 is laughable. Floyd would never had the ballz to climb in the ring, let alone beat Robinson, Hagler, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Pryor, Arguello or Benitez. Hell, he won't fight GGG today!!! Drop down a level, and Floyd would never have ballz enough to have fought Trinidad, Mugabi, Quartey, Julian Jackson, Donald Curry. Floyd has always lacked courage. He was always strategic about WHO he fought and WHEN. He walked away from a $25M rematch with Oscar because he knew he lost that fight, and he did not like getting hit that much. He waited until Mosley was 40 yrs old to fight; he wouldn't fight Mosley back when Floyd got a decision over Oscar and Mosley was in his prime. When Pacquiao was knocking Cotto & Margarito out, u heard crickets from Floyd. He's always been about manufacturing, marketing & branding a "0", put names strategically on his resume, and make the most money. He did that. He's never been about being the best, fighting the best in their prime, taking the biggest risks as all the legends did. He can think he's the best in his own little world with a few illiterates from the hood that believe that too. But the consensus is, he's no where close to the best of all times. Lol.
