Comments Thread For: Jack Warns George Groves: I'm Ready To Go To War

Badou Jack is ready to go to war with George Groves.

The WBC super-middleweight world champion makes his first defence of his title against the Brit at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 12, as part of the Floyd Mayweather-Andre Berto undercard.

Jack (19-1-1-KO12), who won the world title by out-pointing Anthony Dirrell in April, has not watched much of Groves in the build-up and although he has seen nothing that worries him, he is still expecting the toughest test of his six-year career to date.

Probably more likely to be a bit tentative at times until one of them puts the other one out. Groves chin and stamina hasn't looked the best but I couldn't imagine him being taken out in one by someone like Edwards. If anything Groves is at his best early and might finish it quick even though the overall level between them isn't that significant.

edwards doesnt have to beat groves..jack does..understand anthony dirrell might be the biggest puncher at 168 and jack took his shot and his belt at the same time...
it was said that jack was dropping to much weight and was being unprofessional...therefore his chin and punch resistance were not up to par

we'll see i'm rooting for jack bc he's fresher than groves and bc jack is building quit a resume if he keeps this up dirrell, groves, who's next? those might be the toughest 2 back to back opponents i've seen from someone except floyd...degale is with haymon and jack is with floyd so that fight can be made...#unification

Groves should never have left Adam Booth. Look what's happened since then - 2 losses to Froch, both of which he could've won with relative ease, and 2 crap outings against scrubs. If he returned to Booth, who brought him all his prior success, he'd have a much better shot at beating Jack and maybe even DeGale in the inevitable rematch.
