Don't anticipate David seeing the fourth stanza.
He's just not that kind of rugged. GGG will be on a serious mission for his first PPV encounter.

And this is for sure, it's not a 50-50 fight or some crazy, hard to pick fight.
Tested where? Which fight? The Rubio fight he was stopped from exhaustion not from chin problems.

Think it comes down to how well lemieux paces himself. If he doesn't go ape **** for 6 rds flat out then it could. When two big punchers get in the ring i always put some down on going the distance. Wilder/Stiverne Lucas/Provo Walters/Marriaga there's some just off the top of my head this year!

Alcine rocked him about 3x in their fight, he rocked him and walked through his punches the full 12 rounds. It's not like they were sneaky punches either, one of the shots that rocked him was with Alcine's hands dropped at his waist, telegraphed right hand. With a 48% KO rate, he's an average puncher at best.

Furthermore Alcine was a blown up JMW coming in at 156 to Lemieux's 159, fresh off a 1st round TKO loss to Angulo. Didn't go on to do anything after beating Lemieux either.

Buster Douglas can't be used eternally for every single underdog.

            1. Douglas was bigger, taller and had considerable more reach than Tyson. Lemeiux looks small compared to GGG.

            2. Douglas had extra motivation for the Tyson fight because his mother just died 3 weeks before the fight. He said he won the fight for his mother.

            3. Tyson left his longtime trainer Kevin Rooney and had a lot going on outside of the ring.

People need to stop comparing every single underdog to Buster Douglas when the circumstances are no where near what Tyson and Douglas had going on.

i want to see how ggg handles being hurt. even tho im picking him obviously i still think theres a good chance he gets wobbled maybe even dropped its highly possible and i think we all want to see how he handles it.

just for fun tho i will take lemieux in a bet as long as im getting 3 to 1 or so

True but neither of these two can actually play the "boxer/mover" role, we knew Garcia could do so against Matthyse, we also knew Matthyse could do that against Provo or anyone, I don't think GGG or lem for that matter can. This is a KO fight... I see GGG stopping lem by the 7th round.

If there's one guy who hits as hard or harder than Golovkin it's Lemieux. The dudes got big concussive power. But GGG has a more technical base with his distance and underrated foot work. Golovkin should be able to stop him sometimes before the championship rounds. Not to mention Gennadys never been hurt or down. Rubio and Stevens had very heavy hands as well but couldn't hurt him.

The Great GGG cannot fight Lemieux like he fought Monroe sticking his chin out and taking shots he need to take charge and beat the daylights out of Lem by 4
