I do agree with him, Spence needs a Guerrero level fight to bridge the gap between where hes been fighting and the people hes calling out

Having said that would gain a whole lot more credibility if he was fighting real challenges while turning down someone like Spence.

thurman is right when he was on spences level he called out mayweather and malignaggi and was brushed off by both for still being in development.

Im not of the mind that Thurman should face Spence bcuz Floyd said. Thurman earned his position and rating and wants to fight a big name or fellow top WW. Thing is, thats not gonna happen with Haymon.and the other top WWs dont even want to fight each other. Its basically a competition of who can beat the best bum, in that sense, Spence would be a good opponent and a far better onw then what the other guys are facing.

I dont think there is any way you can say that Thurman should be obligated to fight Spence. He shouldn't be obligated.

But Thurmans comments look flat-out ****** considering that the reasons he gave justifying why Spence does not deserve a fight with him, are the exact same reasons why he doesnt deserve a fight with Mayweather.

Spence can/should work his way toward Thurman level fights, but until Thurman fights top competition he should STFU about Mayweather.

Also, Thurman should never be allowed to fight an opponent whos name starts with S
