the fact is he waited until they were all way past it before taking them on. the last 5 years of his career is overrated when U REALLY LOOK AT IT INSTEAD OF RELYING ON NUMBERS LIKE A NERD. that's the REAL TRUTH. u can look at numbers and say so and so was ranked this high, but the REAL FACTS is that floyd never once took any big risks. he avoided fighting a PRIME MANNY, a PRIME COTTO, a PRIME MOSLEY, PAUL WILLIAMS, MARGARITO, MARTINEZ, GGG, and he won't even fight khan hahahahahahahahahahaha. how is this TBE????? explain that to me. how can someone call themselves TBE yet avoid certain threats for yeaaaarrrssss or just not even fight them at all????

ur hero is a fraud and his career is completely overrated. don't give me these numbers poop. just because someone is ranked this high doesn't mean there as big of a threat like they were many years ago. NUMBERS DON'T GIVE THE BIG PICTURE U BUFFOON.

With the mention of Rocky Marciano I think It'd be fair to say that Floyd decided to pick the fight with Manny Pacquiao six years when he went through losses against Bradley (controversial) and Juan Manuel Marquez KO loss instead of fighting him right after the dominating win over Miguel Cotto.

The thing is can we really take a fighter serious who is suppose to be rated with the greats of Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali when he dictated so much of his career on when he decided to fight his opponents?
For me this is a massive deduction to credit and legitimacy to rating of his overall career and partly why he wont be rated higher than Manny Pacquiao overall in the ratings.

To be a great it means more than waiting out and making smart decisions i.e. when a fighter is past his best that is a smart decision but not something which proves you as the best quality fighter this is why someone like Wladimir Klitschko deserves to be rated ahead of him, you just simply cannot always determine your opponents all the time and expect to be rated as the number one not only does Wladimir pick the better opponents but he is the better ambassador for the sport who doesn't disrespect the sport of boxing with any criminal behavior win or loss against Tyson Fury it is clear as day that Wladimir is being unfairly treated because of the hype around Floyds name not the accomplishments of the man.
I can agree with that. I'll go further and say his last 7-10 years have been overrated. Since he has been at welterweight his resume is not that great. He did beat guys that were champions or top 5 rated. But the era of welterweight in the last tens years has probably been one of the worst ever. The competition compared to other eras is not comparable, this era of welterweight in the last 10 years just can't compete with past eras. But he beat who he beat, and be it if they were champions or top 10 or top 5 guys they are not that great.

Mayweather beat the best fact, you can't argue that. Mayweathers already getting the recognition he deserves from most boxing fans and that'll only grow as time goes by.

exactly this too. these floyd farts are too big on numbers. "he was ranked this high though!!!" hahahahahahaha that fails to even give an accurate picture of an opponent. carlos baldomir was lineal champ, but no way is he even a big threat AT ALL. quitter ortiz was ranked like #3 at welterweight after beating berto (another overrated hype). all these floyd farts have are numbers to overrate their hero's career. when u really analyze everything it becomes clear he isn't the "TBE ATG top 10 p4p all time" like they claim he is. it's all a big joke farce.

Numbers? P4P lists are based on opinions. Everyone had Pacquiao, Mosley, Marquez top 5 when Mayweather fought them. Do you know what that means? They were viewed as top 5 fighters in the world by almost everyone. That means Mayweather fought and beat the best.

hahahahahahhahahaha so completely lost in ur delusion. what will be hyped up about floy'ds career ten years from now????? explain to me this. what great win will they talk about like they talk about a past prime ali KO'ing a MUCH BIGGER HUGE PUNCHING foreman????? what great win will they talk about that will be the same as leonard KO'ing monster puncher master boxer hearns??? or hagler ko'ing hearns??? give me a break.

if anything they'll look and see how overrated floyd's wins are. "remember that time when floyd did the least amount possible and took the least amount of risk to win a decision against a way past prime manny with one good arm???" hahahahahhahahaha. "or u rememebr that time when floyd sucker punched quitter ortiz?!?! floyd is soooo amazing!!!" hahahahahahahaha give me a break.

floyd is pure overrrated hype. and SMART BOXING fans can understand this.

maybe them being ranked so high shows how poor a division is??? ever though about that u punk??? hahahahahahahahaha

"Remember Mayweather that was on the P4P list for almost 20 years and went unbeaten, he also easily beat the 2nd best fighter in the world, you know that drug cheat from the Philippines that didn't want to take the test for years."

Will be the more likely comments.
