Huh? Since when did GGG become Amir Khan? Did you see him take Curtis Stevens power punches or not?

Curtis Stevenson's shots yeah, but Curtis Stevenson doesn't have the legs to push off on Golovkin's pressure like Lemieux does. Curtis can punch i'll give him that but I don't think he's got that one punch pop this kid does either and that's coming from someone who adamantly defends Golovkin around here regularly. Lemieux actually is a bigger man than golovkin not in stature but in between fight size, I just expect him to have more natural power than Curtis and his record pretty much indicates he does.

In what world do you live in for you to say 2-1 at best lol.......the world I live in is golovkin broke Rubio in a heartbeat and Rubio Ko'ed lemeuix....also the world I live in is golovkin lost 5 out of 365 amateur bouts...2 were robberies as well and in the professional ranks broke evey fighter that had the guts to face him in the ring.......lemeuix will be another Canadian lucien bute and Mathew Hilton....when they face a real killer they get exposed......golovkin has far to much power and boxing ability for lemeuix.....lemeuix has no more than punchers chance and should be 4-1 at best

GGG is an Olympic silver medalist with an extensive amateur background who has 30+ fights in the pro game. People overlook that because he's a KO artist. The guys can kick in a whole other gear that we haven't seen yet, who I truly believe only Ward ( maybe Chunky and Lara) can bring out of him. Anybody else he never leaves first gear.

Side note: Quillin or Dre Dirrell rematch would be nice.

Buster Douglas had worse odds when he faced Tyson, but caught Tyson overweight and softer than usual, nursing a huge hangover and less than 4 hours of sleep, and with a new camp that didn't care about boxing.

What's more, Douglas was an incredibly talented underachiever who finally got into the shape of his life for Mike (and subsequently came in fat against Holyfield).

Lemieux isn't walking into something like that at all.

Don't get me wrong I really am looking forward to this fight but to be honest the only way David has a chance against Golovkin is if Gennady shows up in the 1st rd with a rocking chair and sits down for a cigarette and a cold beer in center ring, otherwise he will meet his crushing defeat BEFORE the final bell of Rd #4, take it to the bank.



PS: It will still be a wonderful fight until then.

I'm one of those people also who think GGG has a lot more in his arsenal and barely gets out of 1st gear. If he is tested then that will be great because we get to see him go to the next level. I hope Lemieux comes prepared because he's going to need everything going for him to keep GGG off him.

Yes. It will be interesting to see how Golovkin takes big shots from a guy who's stock in trade is landing big shots.

GGGs chin is often left hanging and he takes some shots trying to land his own, heck even Murray landed on him quite a bit. Lem has more power than that. So it might be interesting but Lems chin and stamina are just pathetic.
