    Lemieux to defeat GGG

Most people are in for a major surprise on October 17. Lemieux is no Murray or Monroe or Stevens... The teenage looking Lemieux who fought Rubio almost 5 years ago is long gone and greatly surpassed. For Pete's sake, GGG got punched in the face against Monroe as if there was no tomorrow!!! If Monroe had had any kind of power, not even Lemieux' power, GGG could have been in serious trouble. GGG had a stellar amateur career but has not really been tested as a pro. GGG is probably a better technician, but Lemieux is quicker and punches harder. Lemieux will upset GGG in a "BIG DRAMA SHOW" in reverse.

The odds don't tell me much besides that the oddsmakers love GGG.

Don't get it twisted. If GGG faces anyone in the MW division he's going to be a considerable favorite to win the fight. Maybe not as big as 15-1 or 16-1.

Should he get past Lemieux and win convincingly I'm going to project that the odds against the following opponents will look something like:

      vs. Cotto : 5-1
      vs. Canelo: 3-1
      vs. Quillin: 8-1
      vs. Jacobs: 9-1
      vs. Lee: 12-1

I forgot what video it was on Youtube that broke some things down regarding the fight, but the part that struck me the most was when he video showed Lemieux against N'Dam. We know David usually puts everything into his shots and tends to swing a bit wide. This particular part showed Lemieux miss so wildly, he actually had his back turned to N'Damn. If he does this against GGG, who is obviously much better at controlling distance and countering, it will be over very quickly. People keep saying that if Monroe had power, Golovkin would be in trouble. Lemieux probably hits harder than Stevens, but we saw how much more measured Gennady was and how he maintained a better distance while not taking unnecessary punches. Yes, he still got tagged (everyone will at some point in a fight), but he fights a smarter fight if he knows the other guy has good power. I don't see Lemieux being the type of fighter to adjust well enough to counter whatever Golovkin decides to do.
