Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Jr. Title Fight in Moscow on November 28?

Roy Jones Jr. is considered by the majority of both fans and experts to be a faded fighter, competing at a risky age with considerable danger to his health if matched up with younger, stronger opponents.

Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov, a close friend of Jones and the man behind the majority of his latest Russian activities, thinks differently.

Unless he gets ktfo (which at this stage is entirely possible even against a can, sad to say) he'll win. But he's a pawn.

I dunno'... if you're Roy Jones Jr, is it worth the money?

For his sake, I hope he's dumb enough not to know it.

In the 90s, Roy mowed down his opponents like a monster truck rolling through a herd of cattle.

Now he's getting a taste of his own medicine.

Tarver beat banks & should of got the win over cunningham. He's fighting good HWs at 46 & could be on the cusp of a title shot he earned if he beats another contender. Roy jones is beating bums & is in line for a serious ass kicking. Danny green knocked him out in 1 round a few years ago & lebedev KO'd him too. Toney took too many punches at HW & roy jones has taken too many as well. Tarver has half the fights & that is why he is still fighting fringe contenders. Roy will get killed...

He sure is but he's getting paid to do it. I'm sure he had some solid purses vs Green & Lebedev.

Sure RJJ beat Toney & Ruiz but he was never the same after moving to HW & then trying to drop back down. In my opinion he lost the 1st Tarver fight & then got spanked in 2. He was 0-3 in my eyes. Then the Johnson KO loss followed. When someone says RJJ to me I have one thing that sticks out in my mind more then anything he did in the ring. He was the man who said WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO was nothing more than a 4 round fighter comparing him to BUTTERBEAN & he said he would never win a world title. He said that following the HBO telecast where Brewster beat him. Whereas George Foreman was the only commentator who said he would be the HW champion & that was following the Sanders loss...
