Comments Thread For: Bryant Jennings on Why He Turned Down Luis Ortiz

Prudential Center, Newark, NJ - Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (19-1, 10 KO’s) was last seen in the ring giving the heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko, one of his tougher fights in recent memory this past April in New York at Madison Square Garden. Jennings has been idle since then.

Cue Ortiz' promoter coming out and saying what was on offer. I'm guessing most of that PPV money is going to GGG and Lemieux and the largest slice left over is going to Gonzalez and Viloria. What would be left for Jennings?

So he wants more money and a title shot? **** off...

Another fighter who's letting a big fight get to his head. Ok dude, you did well in the fight but you didnt get the W and you're not a big money guy. Enjoy fighting on NBC or something.

So he isn't interested in Ortz, Cunningham, or Mansour. Instead of capitalizing on the Wlad fight, he's gonna wait for another big fight.

You don't go from fighting Wlad for millions with millions watching to fighting on an undercard for peanuts with a cpl hundred thousand watching. Jennings should have a showcase fight on HBO or Showtime. He's way better than Wilder.

                    Jennings is clueless and vague?

Jennings should be trying to get as many fights as possible in his meager career going nowhere. Bryant's earning potential as a boring unexciting heavy is NIL. Bryant thinks he is in demand but no one knows or wants the average slow boring old jennings. Before Jennings realizes it his nothing career will be over and few dollars will be left. A guy like Jenning is dumb getting poor advice and ver valuing his worth which is nothing. Take as many fights as possible and earn what you can Jennings because you a a fringe fighter with zero appeal. DUH? Who the hell advises them dimwits?
