Has it Come to the Point Where Negotiations are More Exciting than the Fights?

What's up with all of the negotiation cheerleading going on right now? There is more threads and discussions about negotiations than actual fights and matchups.

"Cotto punished Canelo at the negotiating table. That ought a show him who da bauce"

"Ward can't sell ice in hell. GGG will destroy him in negotiations."

Then you have negotiation cheerleading going on with:

    Stevenson vs. Kovalev
    Rigondeaux vs. Lomachenko
    Khan vs. Brook

Do fans actually want to see fights get made or only if their favorite gets what they want at the negotiating table?

Negotiations are the only thing we seem to be getting when it comes to the fights you have mentioned. "Negotiation" articles about fights have become boxing's equivalent of "delaying the album announcement" as a marketing tool to hype something.

I don't get it. Boxing has always been this way, it's prizefighting, they have to negotiate the biggest purse possible.

They only wanna see fights where their favorite fighter doesn't run the risk of getting his ass whooped.

As a fan of boxing would you rather discuss matchups of fights that are actually happening or negotiations?

'Cuz half the purported 'fans' in this forum probably don't watch boxing regularly, they just watch the high profile fights. In addition to HBO, SHO and other boxing outlets, fans now have "PBC" which is on practically every week. Right now, it's good to be a boxing fan because there's so many fights televised and available for download.
