Ward, fighting in Southern California and headlining his first show in SoCal (for a Showtime network in far fewer homes than HBO), had his fight an moved on.
Gennady Golovkin, after having fought 7 times on HBO Championship boxing, with HBO falling over themselves to try and create this monster mystique around Golovkin, saw his camp jumping for joy over a $500k gate.
And, honestly, that "how far away from Kazakhstan" nonsense is tired; Golovkin hasn't fought in Kazakhstan in who knows how long, and the man has been based out of Southern California, with his pandering 'Mexican-style', since linking up with Abel Sanchez in 2012.Comment

Ward's 2 best wins have already retired. He hasn't fought a top 10 168 lber since one of those wins almost 4 years ago. His last fight drew a few hundred thousand viewers on BET. His ring/lineal belt is gone. He has the best LHW in the world begging him for a fight, but he'd rather chase an inexperienced MW instead.Comment

Prime Froch - who was on top of his game - was a better win for Ward, than old/fat/slow Marquez was for Bradley. Why do you address me, idiot? You got nothing to offer, this is ******ed. As usual.
Unlike Dawson, Marquez was not dead at the weight. He was also more accomplished, a WW champ with the best WW win of the decade vs Dawson who's done nothing at 168.
He was p4p way higher than Froch, and just a better, more talented, more accomplished fighter. Bradley had also gone up in weight, which neither Froch nor Ward did.
Knocking Pacquiao TFO, did not make Marquez a welter.
Marquez > Froch all-time, for sure......
but knowledgable fans and historians know not to simply boxrec names.
Casual fans dont understand timing, and pacstains are dumb as shht.
Froch was in his prime, on top of his game, and fighting at his best weight..... Marquez was none of those things foolio.Comment

Is that the latest excuse ?Ward's 2 best wins have already retired. He hasn't fought a top 10 168 lber since one of those wins almost 4 years ago. His last fight drew a few hundred thousand viewers on BET. His ring/lineal belt is gone. He has the best LHW in the world begging him for a fight, but he'd rather chase an inexperienced MW instead.
He was experienced enough to fight Froch.
OK, OK..... excuse number 9 has been duly noted.Comment

SMW, is one division higher than MW.
The division where GGG was happy to fight Froch/Chavez, but not Ward.
If Ward was irrelevant, Golovkin wouldn't have ducked him.Comment
