Why would it be a pay cut? They aren't paying for the fights to be nice, they are paying for the fights because they believe they can make a profit on the advertising revenue/subscription money. That's why any money is budgeted for these things. It should be surprising that after a period of having great ratings, which presumably means great profit, that they wouldn't want to make even more by expanding the budget. Shrug.

Also, it's far worse than what Floyd is doing in actuality... I don't think Floyd was ever on PPV with a 14-1 underdog until Berto. It took him how long to get away with that, GGG does it and he's praised for being on PPV.

Where do you think the money comes from? It's either coming from the budget of other TV shows, less movie rights or it's coming from people getting bonuses at the end of year. I can assure you actors and hollywood aren't accepting less money either. Though I am amazed at your knowledge of accounting, but paying GGG an absurd amount that leads to massive losses doesn't seem like a good idea.

I've yet to see online or in person someone say I bought HBO because of GGG. But I guess that's the reason it's okay to overpay, one or two people might actually do it. Though, I'm not sure how that works considering if he's a PPV fighter, you don't even need HBO to watch.

It means 15k tickets are sold, I never denied that. Does it mean 15k people will be there? Maybe, maybe not. The point is there is a reason they are reporting PRE-SALES and not actual sales.

Think Xbox and PS4. Sony has sold 24.5 million PS4's or some ****** number. The last thing we got from Xbox is 10 million... SHIPPED. The difference? One is to actual people the other is to Gamestop and Target. Presale is no different than shipped to a store. Will people buy them? Sure, how much? I don't know.
