i think cotto wont have as easy a left hook target than he did with geale and martinez; lemieux is very covered up and comes forward relentlessly. something cotto does not handle very well..
but what cotto does have is a crisp jab that lemieux absolutely lacks..

and to address lemieux's loss against rubio, lemieux was relatively green, and lost because of stamina/pacing issues, which has gotten much better although still there..
but then again, cotto had a lot of trouble with margarito's relentless pressure and power, and often gassed in the later rounds...

i actually favor lemieux 60-40 in this match up

It doesn't matter what he weighed, he was getting KTFO regardless

GGG is a paper-chasing hype-job and isn't in any rush to fight anyone. He's hoping to solidify his stance in this sport off the back of Canelo and Cotto, two former Welterweights.

His entire status as some great fighter is dependent on beating small men - some legacy, one of which ready to retire. He beats Cotto and Canelo, what does that prove? He can outmuscle smaller dudes? Some feat. But hey, 14 defenses of an interim title doe!
      Most excellent!

not exactly murderers row. And anytime Cotto steps up to the top level he gets clowned.
how about you give us a breakdown of cotto's wins & losses?

would love to see that since you are always trashing his wins...

                shoot for it.

nope... you have to be an undefeated fighter and never been dropped or hurt....

if not then they deem you a hype job.

Anything Rubio can do, Cotto can do better.
