They got to Larry - it gives GGG his first legit win. All he had prior to Lemeiux is Daniel Geale, and after Cotto dispatched him just as easily as GGG did, lessening how great Geale was for GGG, they are turning to the almight Lemeiux.

I think Lemieux would knock Cotto out. He has fast hands and power in both hands and he is a real middleweight. Lemieux attacks very hard from the first round on and I don't think Cotto could handle Lemieux's relentless attack. Cotto also punches with speed, accuracy and power and Lemieux has been stopped before so Cotto could also win by KO. I don't think it would go the distance and I favor Lemieux to be the one to land the knockout punches. Lemieux has KO power in both hands. Cotto is a converted southpaw with a knockout left and only an average right.

based on what? People try and make Cotto out to be some killer, but what are his best wins? Cripple Martinez? Old Mosley? Judah? Delvin Rodriguez????

not exactly murderers row. And anytime Cotto steps up to the top level he gets clowned.

at least GGG didnt have to drain Geale down to where he looked like an extra from Schindlers List.

Cotto fans must be so proud.......

Cotto hasn't fought at 160 yet, he might be the better overall fighter but Lemieux with his size and power definitely has a shot at beating him. Do you honestly believe that Lemieux doesn't have a shot at beating Cotto? Whichever way you want to look at it Cotto is a very vulnerable middleweight champion. I am not hyping up Lemieux but his middleweight run is more impressive than Cotto's(which is not saying much).

He rehydrated to 180+ on fight night

It doesn't matter what he weighed, he was getting KTFO regardless

GGG is a paper-chasing hype-job and isn't in any rush to fight anyone. He's hoping to solidify his stance in this sport off the back of Canelo and Cotto, two former Welterweights.

His entire status as some great fighter is dependent on beating small men - some legacy, one of which ready to retire. He beats Cotto and Canelo, what does that prove? He can outmuscle smaller dudes? Some feat. But hey, 14 defenses of an interim title doe!
