Oh so Wilder can CHOOSE to fight the scrub that he last fought, and the upcoming scrub, but he depends on the WBC to schedule negotiations for Povetkin? How does that make sense?

Duhuapas would be favored over Wach in a fight..

I know right? He is fighting a so called scrub that Wlad defeated, who only has one loss and is 6'7. That actually is a legit TUNE UP, as he is preparing for Wilder's height at least. How is Wilder preparing for Povetkin by fighting the guy that he is about to fight next?

Stop your biatchin Sasha. Your own "title reign" was a sad joke until Wlad knocked you around like a rag doll. Then all of a sudden you realized your career was about over and started not drinking Vodka for your training sessions and you expect Wilder to cater to your every whim? STFU..

If Povetkin was Mexican, Wilder would have already been stripped of his title if he refused the fight.

Why is povetkin so eager to get knocked out?

basically this. They gave Wilder an out. This fight needs to happen no later than the first quarter of next year

I don't really blame Wilder for taking a second optional defense, moreso the WBC messed up in stating that negotiations have to begin oct 24th. Wilder was wobbled by Molina who knocked the F out against Arreola. I would love for Wilder to keep holding that belt but his reign will end soon, he kind of reminds me of the similar hype that Michael Grant got but then was knocked out by Lennox Lewis. If Sasha doesn't beat him, Joshua defintely will.

tired of the new trend, with fighters being handed belts and also being allowed to grow by being given soft defenses - very similar to Chavez Jr. - they strip Sergio because they would not allow him to fight the same fighter that was approved for Sergio's stripped oops.. I mean vacant title. Dude was good enuff to fight Chavez Jr. but not good enuff to fight the real Champ ...... **** outta here - Wilder has been done a disservice, he is building up a false sense of confidence - Povetkin has the 2nd best pedigree in the division - he is going to seriously hurt Wilder - a 1 trick, I mean 1 punch pony is no champion, just a sideshow!
