He also said in the same interview that he must honor the deal and fight Canelo first, and that if both are available next year, they can fight.

Wtf is Kov talking about with "real fighters"? First wtf real fighter list has Cotto + GGG & Thurman on it? And he's talking like these cats don't care about the business end, but GGG & his people are hemming & hawing about a catchweight with Ward, Thurman is talking about maybe his people don't want him fighting in the UK like he can't put his foot down & Cotto has his picture in the dictionary next to the definition of Diva more than anyone in the opinion of most people on this forum lately.

I think maybe Kov has taken more damage than people think cuz this mfer got shaky logic.

I think the common denominator in all the fighters mentioned, is that they come to fight and don't run. Kovalev enjoys them as fighters. Well, Thurman has been running more lately, but he used to look out for a slugfest. Not as much these days though.

He simply states he likes boxers who can box but use their boxing skills to "start a fight"! He like action fighters that look to dominate if they can't then they have boxing skills to fall back on.
Cotto with Freddie does just that.
Thurman when he feels he can't land power boxes.
GGG puts his ballz down and works towards a KO immediately.

He forgot Gonzales who is actually the best by far!

I'm with him all the way. I'm tired of Mayweather type methodology.
Having skills is great and using defense first is fine but eventually there needs to be excitement and consequences to engage more fans and maintain interests.
Everyone has seen Mayweather & Wlad and theres nothing left to see in them. They are survivlists and its become a bore.
Watching Chocolatito box and fight at the same time is how fans get excited
because the action is at a high level. If you blink you may miss something!!

I appreciate the art in boxing technique but the most of the greatest boxer could punch too. They didn't dominate by moving away and waiting to counter move and counter punch. They were first to initiate and worked in combinations not one at a time.

Kovalev is a savage and he does have real boxing skill. Im a big fan. He's much better than Golovkin to me. I'm not sure why GGG has crossed over so well in comparison.

I think he is talking about guys who are always in exciting fights and pushing the action. People don't want to call Cotto a real fighter for fighting Canelo instead of GGG. GGG must not be a real fighter either if he doesn't want to fight Ward.

GGG will fight Ward at 164 he's stated it and its on Ward now!
Why should the Middleweight Champ move up to a junior weight class? Why isn't Ward moving up to the 175 and fighting Koval or Stevenson?
The Middleweight Title has always breen the second most prestigious title in boxing.
If Ward wants GGG then get down to 160 and fight for the title. The 168 title is BS!

I'd add Lomenchencko to that list as well. He, like Gonzales, uses their superior skill to mix it up and attack with bad intentions.

Heres the lack of intrique with
                      Ward vs GGG!
Ward will jab and move than drop a 1/2 then HOLD! He won't fight inside or outside he will look to "control"!
Well I'm tired of that style, sick of it actually.
secondly theres alot more money fighting Canelo and Cotto than Ward, ward is a second fiddle guy he's not a lead figure.

ps...I need to see more of Lomo, its a shame but theres no opponents from 115 to 126 willing for to take the shot against Lomo, Rigo or Ganzales. The intrique needs to be developed before they fight each other.
I think Lomo is tobig for either of them, Rigo is a very small guy.
