Floyd beat 2 current champs at 154 for his titles both were #1 when he fought them,1 was the ring

Hell those 2 fights along are better then GGG's entire career
Everybody knows Pacs 8th divisional belt is paper, he admitted the weight was too much and dropped the belt on the spot.

Floyd's 5th looks so much more legit on paper, you wouldn't have guessed he can't handle the weight and can only fight blown up dudes at 154. Either way its shocking he's been sitting on belts for 3+ years without a single defense at regulation weight. Ever heard of another champ that disgraceful?

Ward was coming off of the Super 6 win and Dawson was willing to do anything to make the fight happen. Ward took advantage of that. Same thing Floyd did to Canelo.

2-Since when is it ok for fighters to be willing to drop down a division but not willing to go up? stop making excuses for GGG he wanted to fight Froch, and Chavez Jr at 168...but demands Ward fight at 164 or no fight?? are you serious?
This has been explained to you and your ilk thousands of times. Froch and Chavez Jr are far less talented than Ward, but offered far more money. GGG was willing to fight them and then go back to 160 where he has unfinished business and continue to fight guys his own size. Ward is a guy who won gold a decade ago at 178. He's larger, taller, longer reach, more accomplished and talented than GGG. Despite all that GGG is either willing to meet him halfway now, or wait until he's done at 160 and has time to grow into 168.

This is GGG's 1st damn division but you claim Floyd and IS "AVOIDING HIM" in his 5th division?
De La Hoya fought Hopkins in his 6th division. Duran fought Hagler 25 lbs north of Duran's best weight ffs. If Floyd won't defend his 154 lb belts he needs to give them up to someone who will. Whether that's GGG, Lara, Cotto or Andrade makes no difference to me. Just don't fight shot Berto level opponents and have your stans claim you have 2 weights on lockdown.

You made all of that shtt up, along with your last post.

You have absolutely no idea if Golovkin could make 154.

Experience and common-sense indicate that it is highly unlikely.

        You're dreaming !

If Golovkin could make 154, he would obviously be fighting there.

        • GGG is only widdle.

He way too small for that hulking brute Ward.

Even though he was happy to fight Froch/Chavez

And..... hes not picking on little 153lb guys Cotto/Canelo..... honest !

          • Actually, Ward is listed at 6'1", quite a bit taller than the 5'10" GGG. They belong in different weight classes.

As for Golovkin, he gets hit in the face too often for me to rank him near #1P4P unless he ends up beating a better opponent than appears to be available at MW right now.

A victory over Cotto or Canelo would help GGG's case, but neither guy seems to want that fight.

In general, I don't think it's necessary to move up in weight to prove you're #1 P4P. For example, I would have ranked Sugar Ray Leonard #1 even if he'd never moved past WW.

            • Regarding the..... " Ward has been inactive for 4 years " spin.....

And yet..... he still has a much better resume than Golovkin.

How could you all miss that point ?

If Ward stays inactive..... in 4 years time..... he will still have a better record than Golovkin because Team Golovkin are clearly avoiding difficult opponents.

Wards inactivity is not the issue..... Golovkins inactivity is the issue.

They didn't avoid Froch who's Wards best opponent. Conceded the weight and hometown advantage, making Froch a far tougher opponent than what Ward had to face.

Either way idiot, Ggg is fine with his issues as long as he's headlining HBO ppv, selling 15k in days, unifying belts, mando for Canelo Cotto etc. The guy facing bums on BET or undercards is the one with issues

Really, I dont remember watching that fight ?

They talked about it briefly, but no negotiation ever happened.

And Team Golovkin have talked piles of shht, so who knows if they were actually prepared to follow through with it.

To be honest, I doubt it.

Even a faded Froch would have been a threat, and there is absolutely nothing to indicate that Golovkin is prepared to fight guys like that.

Threats on Golovkins resume = 0.

                  Maybe, not sure.

Hopefully one day we will find out.

Great to hear that Golovkin fans are happy continuing to watch him fight nobodies..... if Ward retired tomorrow, and Hypekin fights for 5 more years..... I would bet my life that Ward has the better resume'.

Team Ggg were on record theyd face him in the Uk, at 168, since last summer at least. It was on Froch to say yes. Instead he said "we'll swerve him if we can, punches like a mule, dangerous fight". Would have been a better scalp for Ggg than any of Wards, but you can't make them get in the Ring with Ggg
