Comments Thread For: Tarver-Cunningham PBC Card: Ratings Average at 679K

The August 15 edition of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike TV not only produced a legitimate Fight of the Year contender, but also provided the network with healthy ratings for its two-hour telecast.

Overall, the televised doubleheader from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey averaged 679,000 viewers on the night. The rating is above the series average to date, rating squarely in the middle among the five PBC on Spike TV telecasts to date.

One thing I notice about PBC cards is that ratings are released for the entire 2-hour telecast. HBO and SHO ratings are released specifically for each fight.

Considering no one gave a f#ck about either of these fights in the US the ratings seem solid. I hope someone is tracking all these numbers. I'd really like to see how things are looking by the end of the year. Think BadLeftHook does a lot of ratings ****. Should be interesting to see all these numbers when there are a lot of them to check out.

My bad, I missed this one, it does seem like Spike gets the best fights from PBC. I guess the best comparison would be Bellator cards, how do those usually do?

People who watched will want to see Glowacki again.

I would assume that Haymon has (at least) options on him.

That is a good question, so I dug this up:
