    The fight could happen but not sure if happens on there. From what I remember Ward went with Smith because Periban seemed to be far too much of a mismatch being that he's 2-3-1 in his last six.

      Ward is in a tough spot. He claims he's targeting GGG. But it has to be at 168. GGG, assuming he beats Lemuix, is the mandatory for the Canelo-Cotto winner. Of course K2 are going to go for the higher profile fight.

      He doesn't seem big on facing Kovalev. If Ward doesn't want to move up to LHW, that is his right. But with the politics of boxing and the fact that most of the better 168 pounders are with Haymon, I am not really sure who is realistic for him to fight for the next year while we wait for a few new guys to develop.

      It might be 2 more opponents like this for Ward.

        Ha, I was just getting ready to jump on Ward until Poppa told us it was bs.

        Can't imagine Ward not headlining, especially for what they pay him.
