Well, since the Alcine loss, it's not the opponents that are Lems story but his improvements that one can openly see inside the ring. Better footwork, improved defence which goes hand in hand with his focused head movement. he has kept the power he has always had. Lem is not a bad fighter at all.

But, like I keep saying, for all of Lem's improvements, he will not do well against GGG. There may be a spark in the early rounds but after round 3 GGG starts cutting the frenchman down. Lem still doesn't have a good chin and his stamina is still mediocre at best. GGG wins KO 6/7.

Stop trying to make an excuse to bash Golovkin after he beats Lemiux.

golovkin's people have tried to quillin in the ring. quillin arguably could have a loss to rosado, a fighter golovkin and lemieux both beat up pretty badly. lemieux reportedly did better again ndam, though i have not seen that fight.

as for jacobs, he does not have a better resume than golovkin. i don't know how you could say that. mora has a recent loss to brian freaking vera, and it's jacob's best win [other than the great truax!!]

and as for lee, his best win is korobov, who doesn't look like hes' the quantity some thought he'd be. golovkin's got better wins than that. i'm not saying that he's been fighting terrific fighters, only that they're better than the guys lee has beaten if you look at the entire body of work. he's also got a knockout loss to chavez jr, and brian freaking vera

Definitely ten times better than the best eva vs Berto. These best eva fans are a joke.

David Lemieux is a very good, strong, and proud fighter. He has done an amazing job coming back from those two back-to-back losses to become a world champion. I'm so happy that he is making his dreams come true. I only wish him the best against GGG. We should all wish him the best and cheer for him. I'm sure he is happy with the opportunity he has been given! Lets go Lemieux!!!!

He's at least good enough that you said this about Lemieux:

Conveniently two of those three guys can't and won't fight Golovkin. TS knows that which is why he brings them up (I mean seriously, who here honestly believes Quillin and Jacobs are anything special at all? They are on par with Lemieux, easily). Andy Lee can happen possibly next depending on what happens with his fight and the Canelo/Cotto situation. Zero props will be given though.

What Lemieux deserves props for is actually taking the fight. He could have gone another direction and just defended his title against weak opposition for a while, but he manned up and is fighting a unification bout against Gennady. That's more than most of 160 pounds can say.

Jacobs has fought one notable opponent in his entire career & he got KTFO by him. The other was Sergio Mora, who he beat on a technicality.

Quillin's resume is virtually the the same as Lemieux's, the only difference being that Lemieux actually beat Rosado decisively.

I don't think any reasonable fan would say this is a good fight and that Lemiux is a step up and its exactly status quo for Gennadys team even though it should be a exciting fight

For me it's a ok fight only because Gennadys team said their main priority is get all 4 belts ( which I only half believe ) and because Lemiux holds a strap it makes it acceptable. I don't know about the PPV part I'm still on the fence about if I'll buy it.
