Forrest had some pop, he landed a good shot on Shane that he didn't see and hurt him.

That doesn't change the fact he wasn't really a hard puncher.

Tito on the other hand was an extremely hard puncher.

Trinidad was the harder puncher by a country mile. No comparison. Mayorga took Forrest's punches effortlessly and Forrest could not hurt him. Trinidad damn near killed Mayorga. Trinidad along with Hearns and Robinson is probably the hardest puncher in welterweight history. Forrest was a hard puncher but not on the same level as Trinidad.

Trinidad had no special illegal wraps. In ONE fight he had to rewrap his hands for Hopkins because He used too much tape by New York rules which allow less tape than any place else. Trinidad's hands were legally wrapped for any place in the world but New York. Tape helps protect a fighter's hands but adds NOTHING to the power of a punch. Trinidad was not fined because he did nothing wrong. He just had to rewrap his hands and that is the only time there was any problem over his wraps. Trinidad continued to punch like the kick of a mule after the Hopkins fight. Just ask Mayorga. Please get your facts right and stop wrongfully discrediting an all time great fighter.
