Haters going to hate. Since he's no longer the fighter he once was. Still can't really judge how far he is really gone since the the comp isn't that great. His next fight with Santiago should be more competitive since he has some experience fighting bigger names fighters like Tarver, Shumenov.

FYI....Carlos (writer of this article).. If Roy leads with the left Hook its NOT a "check left hook" . A check Hook is when Roy catches a shot (check) and comes back with his hook. Not what happened at all as Roy lead with his hook on the knockout blow. BJ Flores

I've not seen the knockout so you might be right about it being a lead hook - but what you described is not a check hook.
That would be a counter hook - a check hook is a hook where you catch your opponent coming in and more often than not you pivot off with it!
