floyd fought judah coming off a loss, mitchell for 4 million instead of margarito for 7, and then bumdomir while never fighting the most dangerous guy that was #1 for 3 years so that period of his career was a complete waste of time.

took a bunch of waste of time fights like ortiz, guerrero, maidana instead of pac which came 5 years too late

said he doesn't do catchweights and wants his opponents to be healthy then drained canelo

fought cotto 5 years too late

fought pac 5 years late

is fighting berto instead of a good fighter like thurman, brook, porter, or even khan

constant cheating: clinching, bending below the waist, elbows

refs that let him cheat: bayless, cortez,

besides that he cool

You forgot to mention that he fought a smaller hatton at a higher weight class and jmm at two higher weight classes while cheating jmm at the scales. Lost to jlc and maidana. Also watching floyd is more boring than watching paint dry. No excitement what.so.ever.

Floyd beats has beens and overhyped fighters. He beats woman. Lots of smoke and mirrors when it comes to his carefully calculated career.

Manny is a yes man . Been a shot fighter and damaged goods ,yet He tries to fool the public that he is still at his best. He allows roach arum and koncz to speak openly too much and make him a fool.

Mitchell was Floyd's first fight at Welter and it was Mitchell because he was solid but also a lefty and Floyd and Zab was already in the works so it was more or less a tune up to get ready for Zab at 147. It was never between Marg and Zab as the fight was already made. Hell, Floyd was going to go for Spinks at 154 until the public backlash killed that fight. Arum made Margarito out to be this boogeyman once he sensed Floyd was leaving and for some gullible people, it worked. There's no way someone who knows boxing would objectively assess the skills of both fighters and think Marg beats Floyd. People weren't even talking about Marg until Arum went on this PR campaign similar to what he did with Manny except Manny was far more accomplished and sellable.

Floyd would literally beat Marg the way Mosley did minus the KO. Even Shane who never had a decent jab was smart enough to use the jab to the pit of the stomach, force Marg to reset and then start shooting the right hand and tie up when required. He was a VERY basic fighter!

2-12 time world champion in 5 divisions

3-4 time lineal champion

4-Has defeated 22 world champions in 48 fights

5-Undefeated in 19 years and counting



Pacquiao

1-won titles in 8 different divisions(a record)

2-4 time lineal champion

3-Knocked out fighters from 108-147=****ing amazing

4-Went from 135-154 -winning 4 titles 2 lineal while remaining undeafed for a few years




Summary....We were blessed to witness 2 certified ATG'S beat any and everyone in their path and finally fight each other.This was a true blessing as i got to witness both come up and even now get to witness both's ending(hopefully is ends now)I know we have had our wars,but now that the fight has happened..why do you really hate either fighter?

Honestly Larry who gives a SH IT on why people hate manny and Floyd. My boxing world does not revolve around these two guys like 80% of these wanna be fans these day. To me boxing has much more to offer than just a Floyd or manny. Take those two out of the picture and it doesn't change nothing for me as a true boxing fan. I could care less who love and hates them and could care even less on why they hate them. Boxing was great before them, as my fondest memories as a boxing fan were before they came around. But to worry about why someone hates them is useless to me. Me being a boxing fan doesn't revolve around them.

Amazing how people dismiss Floyd's entire career in just one or two sentences. Floyd goes down as the greatest I've seen live since I've started watching boxing.

Even if I have an opinion that Pac beats Floyd in 2010, nothing can change what has transpired. Floyd and Pac are ATGs and going to be cemented in the Top 50 all time.

I don't hate the fighters as much as I dislike the fanbase. I'm still amazed that Manny fans can't take the loss he received from Floyd. I foolishly thought the PAC Fans would accept the loss. Floyd fans are staggeringly delusional. They know boxing better than PAC fans, yet they act like Floyd is the best thing ever.

Both fighters have received favorable (yet questionable) decisions. Both fighters have said ridiculous stuff, both fighters have made cringe worth excuses for poor performances.

I find it hard to believe any real boxing fan can stand by either one of these guys. They need to go.

Floyd rarely tested himself once he went up in weight. He would always take the lowest risk fight because either way he was going to get paid in full
He could have fought a prime Martinez at 154 but had excuses

Just face it, this generation is overrated.


Too many fights were fought too late for these two guys to be ranked any where near top 15. They got no one else to blame but themselves, they chose the easy route, so they shouldn't be held to the same standard as the guys who took on more challenges, closest to their peak.
