Both the Pole and German/Bosnian were doing just that. The fight in my sign. Another example (out of countless) would be GGG vs Lemeiux.

13 of the last 15 (4 out of last 5) Ring Magazine fight of the year involved a foreign national.

Even the easy touches/cherry picks in States are higher quality than any other country where you'd have hopeless Ghanian/Belarussians coming in to be punching bags.

I do believe American fighters should travel more. This whole "proving" your worth by traveling should be a two way street.
Paulie just saw a famed European fighter lose in his first fight on US soil and got his panties wet like it was the 1990s.

He had to back up and when it was emphasized that it was actually another European issued the L and then he came with some other b/s because as usual he's too hard-headed and egotistical to admit he was wrong.

Malignaggi has actually come with this stuff before, he said things like "foreign fighters are overhyped, I think we've got the best fighters right here in the United States". Of course where does Paulie come from? he's just a self-serving small minded man.

Not true at all man, and using nationalities to decry quality mirrors the same inherent bias Malignaggi exhibits. Ghanians like Adama & Belarussians like Khomitsky are far better than the garbage Peter Quillin fights for example.

Wilder's horrible Dustin Nichols-level opponents really don't compare to the Pianetas and Wachs of the division. I could go on and on because Haymon fighters (of which Paulie is one) provide more than enough ammo to make the point, Salka anyone?

Nationality really has nothing to do with quality of opponent which is very much an individual matter.

Malignaggi said the same thing about foreign fighters having to prove themselves in the US before Kahn whooped him.
