I stand by what I said. This is a big fight any day of the year and the only reason we have to wait till November 21st is Cotto. Oscar and Canelo wanted the fight much earlier. Cotto likes the big paydays but he doesn't like to fight much these days. I hope Canelo retires him and then he can spend the rest of his life on vacation an enjoy all his wealth. June 2nd and November 21st are near 6 months apart. There was only one reason to wait that long and the reason was Cotto.

Cotto just cares about the $ he is making, as soon he realizes he is not in a ring with a cripple like in his last couple fights he will be in for a rude awakening, taking a knee and probably quitting on his stool.

Thats mexican stuff, we take a kneee when our bodies give up. We dont quit in between round in a moment of weakness. (except for gonzalez, hes a bum)

Its funny the only time cotto took a knee was against a cheater with loaded gloves... cotto didnt even take a knee with pac, he got demolished and took his beating. Even questioned the ref when he stopped it.

Taking a knee > quitting on stool.

That was a great win beating the oddds

Shane mosley, close to his prime, looked fresh and in shape.
Cotto won a close UD win. Great win

Kelson Pinto. Ppl dont know who he is but he was the guy who beat cotto in the ammateurs. After they turned pro they fought for the vacant 140 title both undefeated. cotto knocked him out
          Great win for cotto

Randall Bailey, had it been Randall instead of jose cotto fighting canelo that day. Bailey would have knocked canelo unconscious.

He also beat like 5-6 undefeated fighters in their prime worth of mention like paulie, ricardo torres (what a war), KO carlos quintana who went on to outbox paul williams.

Cotto has some good and great wins, we are just living a new generation of kids who forget the past. Its all about the present.
You have no idea if Bailey would have knocked out the 19 year old Canelo who knocked out Cotto's brother. Cotto's brother landed a perfect punch and followed it up well and hurt Canelo. Canelo kept his feet and was back in control by the end of the round and went on to win by KO. Bailey might never have landed his punches on teenage Canelo and Bailey may have been KOed as he has been KOed before so many times. You don't know how fights that never happened would go. You are comparing apples with oranges. Canelo beat Cotto's brother at 19 years of age. Cotto at 19 was still two years away from his first pro fight. Cotto was 24 years old when he stopped Bailey on cuts. I think the 24 year old Canelo would KO Bailey much faster and easier than Cotto did. How come us Canelo fans are fan boys and kids while Cotto fans like you are so wise and just know everything????
