    5: Algieri @ 144, JMM III @ 144, Margarito @ 150, Cotto @ 145, ODLH @ 145

EDIT: ODLH was at 147, so the answer is 4.

      It's Canelo's 5th... and he's 10 years younger than Cotto or Pac.

IDK how many pac has... I don't keep count...

But it's hilarious imo a pac fan complaining about cw's in a cotto thread.

              Oscar wasn't at a CW.

Damn! These CWs take the glory out of the wins. Stans and general nationalistic/pro color fans won't care as long as the 'W' is there. Boxing sometimes. SMH!

lol whoops my bad. Guess I was so surprised that Oscar came in at 145 that I forgot it was a 147 fight.

What's worse....a guy coming up to a cw or draining a boxer with cw?

Catchweights are circumstantial and in this case I have no problem, Canelo's been fighting at this weight and this is the same weight as Cotto's been weighing in of late. However a catchweight with GGG would be unacceptable as Gennady is fighting at 160 and the winner will have the lineal title.

Yes, it does tarnish the fight. If Mayweather/Alvarez was tarnished by the catchweight like all the haters on this site claim, then Cotto/Alvarez is tarnished by the catchweight.

All the haters want to criticize Mayweather (who has only had two catchweight fights) as if he did something terrible. Yet, this will be Cotto's fifth catchweight fight and it will be Alvarez's fourth or fifth catchweight fight.

Whoever wins this fight will be the official catchweight king....and will still be three notches below Mayweather in terms of talent and skill
