Miguel Escroto learned a few tricks from that loser Floyd MayBeatHer. WAR CANELO!

      ... They both sell OK...
... They don't need belts to sell the fight...
... Therefore, vacate the belts -- if the belts don't count!

A fight in which a champion or leading fighter from a lower division is fighting the champ in a higher division? Catchweights are fine in that regard and as old as boxing itself. So i personally don't have a problem with it.

I do have a problem with Cotto admitting he isn't a MW but holding on to the MW title and not fighting GGG.

I don't mind so much with this #1 priority was getting these two guys in the ring without handing over an advantage, they did just that.

What does worry me is the precedent it sets, and that when certain fighters reach a level of power within negotiations, they'll fight at their optimal weight from that point on, so we see a whole range of 144lbs, 155lbs, 172lbs regulars for example.

What's understood doesn't need to be talked about, the champ at 160 is clearly not Cotto, Cotto is a title holder and him being rated as the top guy at 160 is ridiculous, so i don't care about this being fought at a catchweight, the main thing is that the 2 fighters are confortable at the weight and the fight is much bigger than a belt, We know, Cotto and Canelo know, that if they wanna be considered the real champs at 160, the winner has to beat GGG.

155 has been Canelo's weight choice for the past two years now. The weight for this fight was to be expected since Cotto is not a real middleweight.

Sure it does. This is the MW title. This is contrived BS and a sign Cotto is a woman. Marvelous Marvin laughs his ass off. GGG can't wait to fight either on. The only man in this fight is the MEXICAN! VIVA MEXICO!!

Neither fighter will have a size advantage and let's not forget, 155lbs is within MW range. Why is everyone acting as if u must weigh in at the full limit in order for it to be legit? MW is 154.01 - 160.
