Canelo doesn't have fast feet cause he is not a mover like a say a Floyd. But he does have very good hand speed(better than Cotto) and he throws better combinations. And he has good body punching. Boxing wise I'll give cotto the edge but it's a slight edge that will be negated by Canelos speed and accurate combinations. I see it as a close fight with Canelo eventually wearing Cotto down and stopping him.

I actually give the speed edge to Cotto honestly,,Canelo does have beautiful well put together combo's tho

I completely agree with Larry here. Canelo has a better chin and is possibly stronger we can call them even in terms of combinations and stamina as well. With Gavin though, Cotto might even be in better shape. I think it's going the distance because of Canelo's chin but I think people will see a visible gap in talent. It won't be a wipeout like Floyd, but 9-3, 8-4 Cotto.

Canelo is a good but limited fighter and he doesn't the right skill set to beat Cotto. He's not mobile enough to outbox him and he's not Margarito in the slightest.

I think this is the livest body Cotto's fought in a while, younger, fresher, bigger, throws good combos, has good power.

You can't count Cotto out because he's a veteran and has been looking good recently and has a massive advantage in experience.

But like I said my money's on the new breed.
