Damn, shocking to see how quickly Rogers health has degenerated

Reminds me of my grandpa, who in 1 yr went from doing his landscape, climbing stairs etc to a shell of himself. Parkinsons hit him

But he is in his 90...

I dont see Roger making it to his 60th bd, just looks awful. Boxing is an insane sport when we think about what it does.

It is always saddening to see boxers health go like this

The lack of empathy demonstrated by the ignorant in this thread is astounding.

On-topic: Wish Roger the best ... Its always sad to see former boxers health deteriorate as a consequence of participation in the sport. That stated, when will the time be right for the sanctioning bodies, who collect enormous fees from the fighters, to finally setup a post-career health program for all boxers.

I hear many promoters\managers make statements that their organization is about helping the fighters, but they all seem to fall short in that critical area where the most assistance is needed.

every one gets to see the older generation fall apart .guys that worked hard can hardly walk crippled NFL players coal miners cant breathe dying before 50 etc. I have seen drunks and drug addicts with more brain damage then roger who hardly got in a fight. that is the way it is.

I really feel bad for Roger. Boxing is a rough sport and a lot of boxers don't come out of the sport with all there marbles and its sad. Rough rough sport and I have love and respect for all boxers regardless of how I feel about them.

When I saw the video of the Nevada boxing hall of fame induction ceremony the other day and they showed Roger walking down the aisle, I knew there was something not right with him. He looked like a very old man. I really feel bad for him, he was a great fighter and IMO underrated trainer.

Much love and respect to Roger
