If HBO allows Bradley/Rios on the air, they are just as culpable as Arum. Arum can't make a fight on HBO if HBO doesn't allow it.

So true. Similar to Garcia v Salka. Showtime was to blame for not insisting on Garcia v Peterson. It's not as if that was done superfight. Interum bouts were just unnecessary.
here, Bradley v Ali should be worth as much, really more to hbo. I think we'd all agree that Bradley v Ali is a more interesting fight.

In house Bob at it again. First he says titles are meaningless, then later says he will work out a step aside deal with Ali. But yeah lets stick to the mantra that Haymon is the problem with boxing.

I think both TR and PBC are guilty of the same sins. That said, PBC has yet to show a willingness to match up their best fighters with each other on a regular basis. For every Porter v Broner, there's Garcia v Malignaggi and Thurman v Collazo. For every Santa Cruz v Mares, there's Santa Cruz v a 50-1 underdog cab driver.
Arum is plain wrong here, but let's not also pretend that PBC's matchmaking is lighting the world on fire

Why does Ali need a showcase fight he's had 2 already on HBO. And why does he have to fight vargas first when he was promised the winner of the vargas vs Bradley fight. Ali earned his title shot not Rios who has done nothing at 147. I highly doubt Rios at this stage with the losses and bad performances he has racked up generates that much more ratings for HBO then Ali would. Ali is not a unknown fighter who has never been on HBO and is not being passed over for a huge name fighter like Mayweather who dwarfs Ali. I call BS the only one this benefits is Arum.

Ali's best win is against Abregu, who at his peak was a Diego Chavez equivalent but when he fought Ali he wasnt what he once was. Rios hasnt done much at @147 but neither has Ali & Rios is where the $ is at. Bradley will beat both Rios & Ali but make much more against Rios. U put rios vs bradley in vegas or socal it sells, put bradley & ali anywhere & it could be a good fight but its not good business. We all know arums about the $ but either fight has the potential to be good, the monetary value is just higher with 1 & the winner of the undercard gets another payday or title shot. I think Arum has enough faith in tim bradley to match him with anyone, hes doing his job in finding the highest valued opponent. This form of business is much more respectable than paying a champ in the high six figures to fight a no hoper. If Ali can beat Vargas better than tim did, then i would be protesting if he didnt get next dibs but until than if vargas is so easy why not wait in line, his time will come... #Boutriches

Abregu and Santana are better then ANYTHING Rios has done at 147 and Ali is the mandatory challenger. Rios doesn't deserve the fight. Rios has a name for what he did at 135 and 140. But he has looked horrible and done nothing since going north of 140. If not for a win over a completely shot Alvarado what has he done? You have to go back to 2012 to find a good performance. Rios is on the downside of his career where he and his trainer both mentioned retirement if he lost his last fight. Ali is a young fighter who looks better each time out and is a real welterweight not a blown up lightweight. And where have we seen that Bradley is offered more money to fight Rios then Ali? Bob Arum might make more money but I have seen nothing saying Bradley will make significantly more. Ali don't have to beat Vargas to get Bradley WTF. Honestly i think Rios wouldve KO'd that version of Abregu & please dont act like santanas a world beater. Bradleys a p4p champ bro, why cant he take a voluntary & make some rios money. Ali had a million viewers because he was on the undercard for the hw champ of the world against an american lol c'mon man, i can tell u are an ali fan but lets be real, dudes resume is as soft as rios' but ill give it to u & say its better but its not by much. & ali's last fight was a sanctioned by the wba (intercontinental title) so why arent people crying he doesnt get thurman? So in all reality u should look at this as a plus for tim bradley not a evil move by arum & rios. Besides if ali beats vargas than he gets bradley & vargas will fight rios in a crossroads fight. Naw I think it is more to this story. I think Arum is the one trying to keep things In House with Bradley vs Rios! It is rumored that Arum been asking for "A LOT OF MONEY" from HBO lately for fights. Not sure what is going on but that relationship seems like it is about to Explode any day now.

Anyway, Bradley vs Ali makes more sense. Based on the WBO Rankings, Ali is the #1 Contender! So if HBO is not accepting that fight (which I don't believe) then that is a JOKE! Kell Brook would be even better for Bradley! I think this is Arum trying to keep things In House while Timothy and his wife/manager Monica are putting their foot down and is tired of the In House BS!
