Comments Thread For: Khabib's Promoter Praises Haymon on Broner, Jabs Arum

Vladimir Hryunov praised manager/adviser Al Haymon for a quick finalized deal and his willingness to match former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-2, 22KOs) against Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9KOs)

The two fighters will clash on October 3rd for the vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight title, which Khabib lost a year ago.

Khabib has been inactive since last April, when he suffered what some felt was a controversial decision loss against Jessie Vargas on the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley II undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

That's horrible... but was he sitting out hoping for a rematch or was he forced to not take fights?

Bob has always been Bob, at this point everything he does is pretty much a given. The Khabib-Vargas outcome was just another product of a non-TR fighter fightn on a TR card...ask Herrera about that.

As fun as it would be to take a jab at Brush, I will concede that I believe Broner wins this fight as well.

Khabib is going to kick Broner's ass and possibly end his career- as far as title shots go.

But I have to agree, PROPS to Haymon for finally making a good fight for once. This is the FIRST time I can recall Haymon making a fight with one of his fighters fighting a NON-Haymon fighter, who actually boxes full-time and isn't a complete bum in a showcase fight for his fighter. (besides GRJ-LomachenKO)

Dunn and I were just talking about this the other day and this is a step in the right direction- as far as matchmaking goes for PBC.

EASY work Khabib, Broner is getting CRUSHED. WAR KHABIB

Also, I agree with Hryunov, Khabib IS the best fighter in the division. After he beats Broner, he will show it. He beats everyone in the division and hopefully he gets big fights after this. Hopefully Haymon brings him back on PBC after he wins this and has him defend his title on Free-American TV
