i think you need to remember how fights are scored.
effective agressiveness, defense, clean punching and ring genralship.

floyd had bettwe defense, cleaner punching (to the body and the face, bc a punch to the arm is not a scoring one, compubox forgot that, but the judges didnt) and was more effective

castillo had mayweather backing away, and he cut of the ring to catch him on the ropes in many rounds. no one has hit mayweather cleaner than castillo has. mayweather had cleaner hits, but castillo was landing many to the body. so i see castillo winning in at least 2 of the 4 things refs look at.

Here are the statistics of the fight. The point is that Mayweather was the next biggest thing, and they thought Castillo was going in there to "give away his title". Castillo proved them wrong, too bad the Judges didn't see the fight the way that the rest of the world saw it.


Castillo won in all categories including aggresiveness and cleaner punching. Not to mention outnumbering Mayweather in all categories.

Mine was similar, i had one 10-10 round i think. Maybe 114-113 or 115-112. Not sure. It was close though
