Except for the fact that Margarito fights absolutely nothing like Maidana. I bet this is similar to something you said "If Maidana a C level fighter almost beat Floyd imagine what Manny will do to him" <-- Lmao. Most boxing fans, I swear...Margarito used his solid chin and come-forward style to wear down his opponents. His style relied heavily on attrition and exhausting his opponents. Pacquiao-Maidana would be a completely different fight.

Maidana stated that he will be coming to the US to train in September. He hopes he will be able to fight by November, but more than likely he will fight in 2016.

I feel like Maidana is gonna have trouble getting to 147 so I suspect he won't be fighting any of those guys listed out the gate. I think Alfredo Angulo at 154 would be a great fight to make after his layoff. Extremely winnable & probably fun while it lasts.

If I had to put him in with one of those guys I suppose Collazo, Chavez or Algieri & probably in that order. No need to throw him in with the big dogs even though I kinda suspect thats what Maidana will want. Assuming he wins I think you do wanna throw him right in with Thurman, Brook or Garcia & see what happens.

None of them. He needs to fight a tune up.

At his rate, he'll have to come back to face Chavez JR. Damn it's gonna be hard for him to get back in shape and lose the ring rust after a long inactivity period.

Adrien Broner's pops would be a good choice at this point:
