If by Floyd's approach you mean stayed in the gym stayed focus and dedicated to their craft without getting caught up in their own hype and success, then a lot of fighters might have been greater than they were, but sadly there can be only be one Mayweather.
I know that's not what the ts ment, but I wanted to answer honestly.Comment

After the Berto fight it will be 24 fights against former/current major world champions through 5 divisions with 12 in a row being a current world title holder from Judah through Pacquiao (Guerrero was an interim champ and Maidana a rematch), in 49 undefeated professional fights.
Apparently Mayweather is cherry picking champions. The Mayweather hate is strong.
Please let all of us know when another boxer accomplishes what Mayweather has in the 17 years he has been Top 10 P4P and 7 years as the #1 P4P boxer in the world.
Currently Mayweather has victories over the 3 highest rated boxers in 3 divisions: Welterweight, Jr Middleweight and Middleweight.......#1 147 contender Pac, #1 Jr Middleweight contender Canelo and Lineal Middleweight champion Cotto
Just for some perspective.....Triple G has faced 2 former/current major world champions in his 33 fights and Ward has faced 5 former/current major world champions in his 28 fights.
Don't have to like Mayweather but give credit where it's due.Comment

There are a lot of good fighters right now but the question is where would some of the ATG's and present fighters be If they were waiting for the opponents we want to see them fight start to fade?
What If Muhammad Ali made Joe Frazier wait til the late 70's or 80's for that fight to finally happen, what If he asked opponents to wear certain more padded gloves and what would people think If he avoided some of the best names on his resume like Ken Norton, Shavers, Foreman and so on just because Ali thought they didn't do enough to 'earn' it?
Would Ali have had the right to honestly call himself the greatest of all time?
Where would some certain current fighters be right now If they took that Floyd approach of carefully waiting it out with their opponents to have a bad turn of form before they decided to face them, I personally think Wladimir would be unbeaten if he had the same mentality of a Floyd Mayweather cherry picker, he'd have known to not fight entertaining at all in his early days and instead adopt the clinch and forearm technique from the get go that and obviously avoiding guys left right and center.
To be honest when you look at it like this a lot of good guys from the past could have easily maintained their 0.
u mean like leonard did with hagler? and the hearn rematch? or is that somehow different cause people like leanord the reality is it dont matter who or when floyd fights someone there will always be an excuse to why he wonComment
