Viloria at 34 is long in the tooth, especially for a flyweight and hasn't had a meaningful win in a while now. I would have preferred Estrada, Segura or Inoue at the higher weight. The Viloria fight does nothing imo. Might be exciting for a couple rounds but nothing else.

Don't know why people are excited about this fight. Merely an OK fight. No better than the Sosa fight. Villoria has no real chance imo. He gets starched.

Nice, truth be told the first time I'd ever watched Gonzalez properly fight live (and not a highlight reel) was on that Golovkin vs. Monroe Jr. HBO card.

He was great entertainment. Can't wait to see him again.

I've wanted this fight since viloria beat segura n Tyson

If he wins, IMO viloria will have punched his ticket into the hall of fame

this was the best option imo. at 112 lbs i'd like to see gonzalez-viloria, ruenroeng-mcwilliams ii, ioka-reveco ii and estrada vs a solid top 10 guy (mthalane? muranaka?), and then i'd like to see the big unification fights in 2016 (gonzalez-estrada ii and ruenroeng-reveco)

Glad Morales didn't take it. Too soon. But he does need to start stepping up.

It'll be guaranteed fireworks but at this point I don't think Viloria can match Gonzalez's intensity.

                    And Arroyo does too.

both arroyo and viloria lost their previous big fights (albeit giving good accounts of themselves), but the difference is that arroyo has done nothing else of note in the pros, whereas viloria is one of the most celebrated flyweights of his era. he may be past his prime but he's not shot like sosa; he put up a great fight against estrada until he gassed. for a ppv card it's a no-brainer

mcwilliams should aim to rematch ruenroeng because he could probably win the return, especially with a less lenient ref. otherwise, he could target estrada via the wbo
