Would the WBC Sanction Mayweather vs Canelo II when Canelo beats Cotto.

For the money involved that would be guaranteed for Cotto or Canelo as the opponent of Mayweather lawsuits get dropped & rivalry's paused (as the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight happening showed which is a fight I was even saying would never happen cuz of the Floyd vs Bob beef). Like the saying goes, money talks & bull**** walks. A lot of disagreements would disappear if enough money comes into view.

you talking as if Floyd vs canelo or cotto is gonna bring in a half a billion dollars like the pacquaio fight did. 4.4 million buys and 1.5 million buys are 2 different things.

Not if K2 has it in writing they get winner. They could sue the WBC or at least threaten to sue. The WBC has lost numerous cases before and I doubt they would put themselves in that position. They would probably strip Cotto and make him champion in recess or some ******ed crap basically find away to make cotto champion while letting Ggg Fight for the vacant wbc belt

I know that GGG is signed on to fight the winner of Canelo vs Cotto, but do you think the WBC would pull strings to make Mayweather vs Canelo 2 and pretty much Gennady fights the winner of that fight.


Pretty Much After Mayweather beats Canelo for a second time at a 154.5 Catchweight, he will retire and GGG will fight whoever his WBC Mandatory is for that belt which in all assumption would be Canelo


So Pretty much with this Scenario, Canelo would have 3 losses by either 2016 or 2017. Yes I am Counting GGG as a loss for Canelo, OBVIOUSLY.

They can sanction whatever they want as long as GGG accepts the terms to step aside. I figure to step aside a second time in a row he would deserve to be paid at least $10 million. I'm still waiting to hear that the step aside agreement for the Cotto-Canelo fight has been finalized.
