Floyd vs canelo 2 will do over 1 million buys but that's not enough money for gbp too drop the suit against haymon.

the lawsuit means way more too de la hoya than a rematch nobody wants too see.

Oscar feels like haymon stole his whole stable
While Floyd vs the winner of Canelo vs Cotto for a middleweight title isn't doing half a bill I don't believe there is much to argue about that it would be 2nd biggest PPV fight to make in the sport besides Floyd vs Manny II. And I think Oscar is a guy who believes in his fighters rightly or wrongly so its not about if Canelo would make enough to drop the lawsuit its about the overall upside in Canelo being the first guy to beat Floyd.

Pretty Much After Mayweather beats Canelo for a second time at a 154.5 Catchweight, he will retire and GGG will fight whoever his WBC Mandatory is for that belt which in all assumption would be Canelo

So Pretty much with this Scenario, Canelo would have 3 losses by either 2016 or 2017. Yes I am Counting GGG as a loss for Canelo, OBVIOUSLY.
The WBC understands the politics of most situations, so I doubt they make that move (Canelo having the longterm deal with HBO, Mayweather has the ongoing relationship with Showtime/PBC, and Canelo's promoter is actively suing Mayweather's manager).

If Cotto wins the fight (and Haymon and Jay-Z finally sit down for that conversation), I see the WBC trying to work something out; Cotto vacates the middleweight belt (becoming champion emeritus), to then challenge for Mayweather's WBC 154 title. Win or lose, Cotto still has another big fight to consider.

Cotto is going to take what brings him the most money after he beats Canelo, like he always has. If it's Floyd, that's who he'll fight. If it's a rematch, he'll do that. If it's GGG, he'll do that. It's not that hard to figure out. Either way GGG is still his 3rd best option, so Gennady and his groupies are going to keep on b*tching.

Which fight are you talking about? Floyd vs Pac?

Ward is a quality name in his own right, but he's also with Roc Nation, the company that promotes Cotto.

Cotto-Canelo will likely be a two-fight series (PPV in November and rematch in May/June based on who wins). What's to stop Cotto from saying "fight Ward while I take care of this rematch or fight Jorge Sebastian Heiland, for a vacant belt on regular HBO for maybe $1m"?

Team Golovkin yaps about "only wanting the belt", but I call bull**** on that.

Ward is being talked up as the co-feature to Cotto-Canelo, and has a 168 with a new slew of challengers to work through; after the Lemieux fight, Golovkin is literally facing a near year of nothing fights to slog through.

Golovkin's over a barrell, but his fans don't want to acknowledge that yet.

If the Cotto-Canelo winner gets another fight with Floyd, they'll gladly hand over the WBC belt and let GGG fight Jorge Sebastian Heiland for the vacant title at 160.

                See, everybody's happy.

After Miguel finish exposing him once again, he will fight Floyd for them both retirement fights. Now, that would be the fight of the century!

Two destined HOF, fighting for greatness! Floyd for his 50-0, and yet another division and Cotto trying the imposible of taking Floyd's "0" and retiring as the Linear MW and the man who defeated Floyd!!
Canelo is going to put a beating on Cotto.

PM me for a bet on this fight, I'm taking Nelo.

I was talking about Canelo-Mayweather but you could say the same about Mayweather-Pacwuiao.

Funny thing is that canelo and even guerrero landed more punches on mayweather than pacquiao did.
                      2!
Smokin that sticky icky. Oh wee!

Cotto lost but he didn't just win 2 rounds
