Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao Getting Older, Hits Too Hard For Khan

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is very interested in getting Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38KOs) in the ring with his former sparring partner, Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs).

The two fighters sat down in London earlier this year to discuss a possible fight. It never happened as Pacquiao reached an agreement to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the richest fight in boxing history on May 2nd. Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision.

Although I lean towards Manny f**king Khan up, it's certainly not a foregone conclusion that Manny knocks him out

Obviously Manny hasn't had a KO in quite some time, and Khan hasn't been down since Virgil (correct me if I'm wrong)

And if Khan can get a fight to the cards -- he's tough to beat because of his work rate & speed

Yeah I lean towards Manny messing him up, Khan got dropped by Diaz I think he was with Virgil for that fight.

Manny hasn't Ko'd anyone in a bit & he doesn't throw as many punches either...Khan has an excellent chance of winning a decision...He's got the speed & length to outbox Pac, & enough power to keep him off...

Young Manny would apply too much pressure eventually breaking Khan down & stopping him late...2016 version loses competitive SD...

Ahhh that's right, Diaz. **** I nearly forgot, Amir had to go life & death just to sc**** by with a razor thin victory in that fight.

Young Manny wouldn't even have to break him down. I honestly believe that a prime Manny Hattons Khan.

I don't know Arum, Pac hasn't scored a knockout in a while. Maybe years ago but not now. Khan was knocked out by Garcia, but he took some hard shots from Maidana, so its kinda 50/50 on whether or not he has glass chin in my opinion. If Khan boxes and doesn't try to slug it with Manny, I believe he can win a decision.

It's a dream fight if it happens. Two of the fastest boxers in the sport who let their hands go...both vulnerable to knock downs. Incredible fight.
