Oh so it was before Loeffler went to Abel Sanchez with Lara's name and Sanchez said no.

      Thanks for clearing that up!

What difference does it make? It's not like Lara's people denied, or approached them in the mean time. You know, gotta see what's up with Andy Lee

The fight would be on HBO with K2 as the lead promoter. Any approach would have to be made by Loeffler.

It's a shame that it didn't get that far with Sanchez's refusal putting a spanner in the works.

You mean, the offer would have to be made by Loeffler. Whoever is badly itching for the fight would approach the other guy, and you're telling me it's team Lara. I know team Ggg isn't chasing the smaller guy with no creds at MW, zero fan appeal, and no chance of winning

I wonder if pre-sale tickets would break records at Madison Square Garden, like they did against Lemieux.

Makes you wonder why Loeffler would present Lara to Abel Sanchez then.

And even weirder than Sanchez would say no considering it's such an easy fight.

It'd be a test of Gggs star power alright

Uhh perhaps cause as a promoter, Loeffler is always on the lookout for potential opponents, esp since for a while it seemed Lemieux was gonna be spared near term.

Who gives a **** what blowhard Sanchez was thinking. Laralast got paid 1m for a no hoper, that probably figures and impacts Sanchez directly

Kinda important when it stops potential fights.
