Is Browne being mismanaged? It seems like his career has lost momentum after his quick rise to the world-level scene. Unlike a lot of boxers out there, he seems genuinely hungry to fight anyone and everyone, but his promoters seem to be failing to find him worthwhile, productive matchups. He became a pro boxer relatively late on in his life and is in his mid-30s already, so they shouldn't be sitting around wasting time for the Chagaev fight. I want to see him mix it up against some prominent opponents, because although he's limited as a boxer, he can **** like a mule, which will always make him an exciting guy to watch.

For me Browne is an exceptionally limited fighter, hence why we're seeing these fights versus Long and Basille. He should keep calling out the guys he has been doing, he could drop lucky landing one of Fury or Wilder, doubtful yet eventually if he's to actually win the regular title those guys could end pursuing him after they've been beaten by the champ.
I think at this point it's important he stays undefeated another fight may present itself without having to face Chagaev, it's looking like it could be a long wait on the Uzbek.
It doesn't help that Browne has terrible promoters, either.

Now their is a resolution and again it just means more waiting unfortunately. At the end of the day these guys are in it for money, the title is secondary. That said he's been calling out the big boys trying to get fast tracked to a title, I think he has a good chance versus Wilder and Fury, against Chagaev I doubt he'd be able to hurt him and would be thoroughly outboxed.
He's in a healthy position sat waiting on the regular title shot, it'll afford him a pay day of sorts when it finally happens, if it happens ! Yet as is mentioned, time isn't on his side to achieve a great deal more in the sport. If you t take Leapai as an example though he was a journeyman who beat the no.1 contender and was able to cash out with a mandated title shot, I expect Browne will be attempting to replicate that template, as everyone else really.
