I think Mathysse saw that Haymon wasn't going to give him the fights he wanted, especially Garcia, who he has been overprotecting since the Herrera fight. If he there wasn't a Herrera rematch what chances are there that Mathysse would be give a chance for redemption? A rematch isn't a bad idea, it was a close fight, and yes he was winning the fight before his eye closed, I gave Garcia full credit but facts are facts.

If Garcia was overprotected like you claimed they wouldn't put him in there with Matthyse at the height of his hype or the Pederson.

I see you really are misinformed about this. Lucas wanted big fights last ear and he got Molina and Ortiz on undercards. With GB, he now will have been on two main events and one title shot. That's why he left Al Haymon. He said he has no regrets and Al offered him more money, but he doesn't fight for glory.

Hey i think that there is more to Lucas leaving AL. I think Lucas manager said that De la hoya flew to argentina and gave him a big bonus to resign(nothing wrong with that since Al also does it) but i think this means that Lucas will never fight another Haymon fighter again. AL made lucas alot of money remember if Lucas woulda beaten danny he would have been pushed for a mayweather shot.
OF course he gets main events now since GB does not have alot of stars and Lucas is one of the few stars they do have

Matthysse doesn't need Garcia. He just beat Provodnikov, he's fighting Postol next, and he should fight Crawford or Pacquiao if he beats Postol. There's also Amir Imam and Adrien Broner at 140.
