In a asses in seats business like boxing there is always a...everything that will help a guy sell more. Oscar been fake as **** since he was 18 years old. He did that so he could be the cardboard cutout "good guy" like Ray Leonard & that type while he was dreaming of snorting coke & fishnets. A style of fighting. Tyson wouldn't have been what he was if he was fighting like John Ruiz. A attitude. Tyson & Mayweather have shown being the bad guy can be very profitable.
There are other things that play into a fighters popularity too.
Its not as simple as winning fights though is the main thing. You gotta capture the publics imagination. In particular if you wanna reach that PPV level of boxing where you gotta have people caring enough about you winning or losing or just fighting to part with $50+.

1. Reason why this is a stupid thread: Pacquiao is not on a decline, I would say Floyd is more-so. Both are gonna retire within 2016 (even though they both legit could dominate another 5 years)
2. Golovkin is that fighter. He just needs a DLH step.

The Boxing star should be the man that makes you stay up till 5 am to watch him fight...if he doesn't drive people to do that, he ain't the one.
